Refund and Return Policy

Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel your order before it ships, please contact support@beekeeb.com immediately. Please note that payment processing companies charge a 5% transaction fee. This fee is non-refundable and will be deducted from your cancellation refund.

Returns and Exchanges

We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date. To initiate a return, you must contact us at support@beekeeb.com to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) approval. Returns sent back without prior authorization may be rejected.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Conditions of Return

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions apply:

  • Restocking Fee: All eligible returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
  • Item Condition: The item must be in its original, unused, and unmodified condition, encompassing all original packaging, manuals, and accessories.
  • Loss of Value: If the item is returned damaged, shows signs of use, or is missing parts, we reserve the right to deduct an additional amount from your refund to cover the loss in value, or reject the return entirely.
  • Shipping & Fees: Original shipping fees, customs duties, taxes, transaction fees and handling charges are strictly non-refundable.

Return Shipping Responsibilities

Buyers are responsible for all return shipping costs. We strongly advise using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item and are not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit back to us.

Non-Returnable Items

Due to the nature of our products, the following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Custom-built or pre-soldered keyboards made to order.
  • DIY Keyboard Kits that have been opened, assembled, soldered, or modified in any way.
  • Key switches that have been mounted into a keyboard (including hotswap boards), soldered, or typed on.
  • B-stock items.

European Union 14 day cooling-off period

Customers residing in the European Union and United Kingdom have the right to cancel their order or return standard items within 14 days of receiving the goods.

  • You will receive a full refund of the product cost and standard original shipping charges.
  • You are responsible for paying the return shipping costs.
  • A deduction may be made from the refund for any loss in value of the goods if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. 
  • Specifically for key switches: any signs that the switches have been mounted (including into hotswap sockets), soldered, or typed on will be considered a significant loss in value, as they can no longer be sold as new.
  • Exception: Please note that customized, made-to-order, or pre-soldered keyboards are exempt from the Right of Withdrawal and are non-returnable.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received, please allow up to 7 business days for us to inspect and test the item. We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the refund (minus the 5% transaction fee, 15% restocking fee, and original shipping costs) will be processed to your original method of payment.

Can I try any of the keyboards?

We highly recommend visiting local meetups to experience and try out different keyboards and layouts. It’s a great opportunity to get hands-on experience and see which keyboards suit your preferences. Additionally, you can explore the /r/mechmarket subreddit to see if there are any keyboards available for purchase that catch your interest.
