Hillsides keyboard is designed by mmccoyd.

The Hillsides are 40% split-ergonomic keyboards with column-stagger layout.

Both Hillside 46 and Hillside 52 keyboard are splayed layout and have a break-off outer pinkie column that you can turn it to be a 40 or 44 keys split keyboard. 

Hillside 48 and Hillside 56 keyboard have a non-splayed layout.

Note (8-Nov): The original Hillside keyboard is currently out of stock. We’re modifying the Hillside series by adding Choc hotswap sockets, display sockets, and JST battery sockets to the board (Mod. HS version). Please note that the outer pinkie column will not have the ability to break out. RGB LEDs and rotary encoders are not supported. The expected lead time is 4 weeks. If you pre-ordered this version, we’ll send an email to confirm all the features before shipping the board.

The components (controllers, TRRS jacks, diodes, reset buttons) will be pre-soldered on the PCB board.

TRRS cable will be included in the package.

Important

  • The optional MCU sockets, Mill-Max hotswap sockets, rotary encoders are not included.
  • The key switches are soldered on the PCB. It is not hotswappable.
  • The compatible low profile ALPS EC11 rotary encoders is in https://shop.beekeeb.com/product/alps-ec12-low-profile-rotary-encoder/
  • The cable for connecting the keyboard to computer is not included.
  • The RP2040 Sea Picro controllers doesn’t support using RGB LEDs
