The Redox is a keyboard project designed with ergonomics in mind. It uses Cherry MX style mechanical switches laid out in a 7×5 columnar stagger layout with components that can easily be sourced. The design was heavily inspired by the Ergodox keyboard, and its main goal is to reduce the size without sacrificing too many keys, hence the name Reduced Ergodox.

Feature of Redox-W Rev 2.0WHS:

  • Wireless and using CR2032 3.3V Coin cell battery (It is relatively easy to buy this coin cell battery from stores.)
  • Comparing with Nice!nano that uses LiPo rechargeable batteries, the CR2032 is non-rechargeable but last much longer (more than 2 months).
  • Vertically staggered
  • 70 keys (same as Redox v1)
  • support MX hotswap socket

PCB Kit includes:

  • receiver PCB, left hand and right hand PCB
  • MX hotswap sockets
  • diodes
  • battery holders
  • power switch
  • USB-C micro controller (white)
  • SMD resistors
  • SMD standard LED
  • 1117 3.3v regulator

Case:

  • 3D printed PLA sandwich case: top plate, bottom plate, screws
    * The case requires assembly by hand and a screw driver.

Pre-soldered:

  • Soldering service: All the component (except the optional SMD resistors and LED) will be pre-soldered on the board.
  • Pre-flashed firmware
    * If you do not select soldering service, you will need some soldering tools to finish the build.

Custom order:

  • If you have a special request, please message me for a custom order

Important note:

  • You will need to buy and install key switches and key caps separately.
  • You will need to buy 2032 3.3V Coin cell battery from local stores.
  • The Redox keyboard doesn’t have a USB port on left and right side so it requires an external programmer for firmware flashing (for example: st-link v2)
