The 3W6HS keyboard is a modified version of 3W6 (based on the design by weteor)
Same as the original design, the 3W6HS
- low profile split ortholinear keyboard with 36 keys
- onboard controller
- using USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the 2 halves of the split keyboard for preventing short circuit that commonly happens in the connection using TRRS cable
This modified version added
- Kailh Choc v1 Hotswap Sockets
- ESD protection
The MCU of 3W6HS is also changed to RP2040 with 16MB Flash Memory
The pre-soldered 3W6HS keyboard
- No soldering tool is required. You do not need to solder any component to the board.
- A USB-C to USB-C cable for connecting the 2 halves of split keyboard will be included.
- Preflashed with VIAL firmware.
Important note
- The optional pimoroni trackball is not included in this keyboard.
- You will need a USB-C cable to connect the keyboard to the computer.

To conclude, this is an amazing keyboard!
Although it is a wired keyboard, the left and right halves are connected via a USB-C cable.
Compared to a typical Corne, it is incredibly thin and unbelievably lightweight (around 200g).
I was looking for a lightweight keyboard, so I sent a message to Leo from beekeeb to inquire about it. He went out of his way to send me a picture of the keyboard on a digital scale, which gave me the confidence to go ahead with the purchase.
The kit included beekeeb stickers, anti-slip pads for the bottom, spare screws, a branded USB cable, and was carefully packaged.
I plan to take this new favorite keyboard with me everywhere and enjoy typing whenever I want!

The keyboard arrived incredibly fast!
I am very happy with the end result :) it took some time to get used to the new layout and choc spacing, but now it's so much more comfortable than a regular keyboard. The only thing I'd change is that one of the bottom plates has a bit of a gap where it connects to the rest of the case ... but I think using metal instead of 3d printed plastic would be a better idea in general. Thank you Leo!
I received the keyboard today so I haven’t had time to use it that mich yet, but I had previously bought a Sweep which is a really similar layout (this one is a 3w6hs) so adapting was easy. Was delighted to receive a few extras with the keyboard, and everything worked perfectly out of the box. I can really recommend the 3w6hs for anyone who wants a small keyboard that is a bit more resilient than the typical hand-made keyboard with exposed components. Everything is inside the case on this one and the use of USB-C between the halves means not having to worry about potentially shorting the board by accident. The build quality is great, and I received the keyboard very quickly after making my order.
